The Life Of Chad Whatashow
EARLY LIFE
Born during a thunderstorm to Officer Robert Vernon Whatashow, a veteran of the First War between the Kingdom of Angpark and Noshland, then a chain-smoking boilermaker for the A.H. Firm, and his wife Betsy Lou a quiet and sweet woman who came from a rough farming town and carried years of trauma and guilt, later a general store clerk and a lousy housewife. They were a struggling "middle-class" working family in the main city of Angustoville hooked on the freedom democracy had to offer (different angustoville here). Chad's life was tough from the start. Being the oldest of two younger sisters and three younger brothers, he often had to step in as the "man of the house" when his mother was working back-to-back shifts or sleeping most days, or while his father was out drinking or working at a factory in a nearby town. He often had to deal with his father's PTSD episodes, during which he would beat Chad and the second-oldest brother bloody blaming his kids for the death of his unit. Their mother usually left the house during these moments, using it as an excuse to work more shifts. Love was a rare thing in the household, and there wasn’t enough of it for all six kids. The neglect followed Chad into his teens, where he never got the chance to attend school, instead stepping in to cover the responsibilities his parents weren’t willing, or able to handle.
At 13, Chad worked as a flour boy in the inner city, grinding through long hours moving bags of flour and salt around a factory floor. He worked until his hands were bloody, often staining the flour. His boss liked to punish him just like how his father does for ruining product, and the higher-ups enjoyed catching Chad sneaking raw dough scraps from the factory bins his attempt to feed his siblings, who rarely ate with their parents never around. These years forced Chad to develop traits of a leader, though it came wrapped in hate, anger, and a deep-seated rage waiting just beneath the surface. Still, he had a softer side—one that showed kindness to his siblings and to anyone who gave him a little attention.
When Chad was at the ripe age of 14 He was invited to a Communist Worker Union meeting by some older disgruntled factory workers seeking better pay and fairer worker rights. The Communists soon saw Chad's real colours shine as he kept coming back to these meeting finding a place where he could air out his Anger and Hate towards his bosses and father often taking part in debates and befriending co workers who hated him for being a "meek kid who bled and cried out of man's eye often and never ate" Chad slowly became more and more influenced by the words spoken and things shown at these meetings the older workers took him under their wing calling him the son they never had they often gave him real food which all went to his young siblings who most started to work for the union running odd jobs that paid in canned goods and all the dough they could take with most of the Whatashow's working, fed and for the first time full of purpose Chad was very involved in the political landscape of the Union's Party often speaking out on the mistreatment of the working man at 15 he had the support of hundreds of workers frothing at the chance for justice he was known for his ability to speak to the masses in a fatherly tone the Communists sunk their teeth deep in him being clueless on the violence brewing the communists slowly turned to violence as the support for change was backed by Chad "their young spokesman" while he spoke of change and difference though peaceful protesting and overwhelming support other meetings spoke on murder, riots and arson to overwhelm the companies to hand over the factories into communist rule while Chad shook hands with Foremen and High standing people amazed that a uneducated kid was changing the workers rights within Angustoville it bought the Union time to buy arms and train the members for all out warfare including Chad's sibling's who were sworn to stay quiet about the training
