Life & career
First Moons
When the First Era dawned on the realm of Cinder, Tristram took part in the settlement of the land, opting to travel Northwest through birch forests he perceived as boundless. Journeying through various testifikan villages, he ended up settling on a remote cliffside on the shores of the Evonian Sea, naming the land Aranna.
In his earliest visions for his future, Aranna was meant to be an autonomous city-state of a greater state, thus he decided to develop a small portion of the overall region in anticipation of said greater state to bring its authority to the land. This development appeared through rapid netheritization of the Arannese economy and introduction of Testifikan servitude. The Testifikans brought to Aranna were originally from across the bay to the west of the settlement, in modern day it is known as Arboria. Seeing the necessity in establishment of a reputation for his city, Tristram chose to use his labour to provide neighbouring states and settlements, like Cauldra and Syradine.
On the Fourth Moon of the first Era, he began exploring the surrounding area, in search of an enigmatic portal to the End dimension, and once it was found he declared an expedition was necessary, inviting residents of Cauldra, Ascëa and Belmonte to join him in an attempt to slay the dragon guarding the End Island. Within roughly two hours, the journey concluded with the expeditionary team finding unique riches, the dragon being slain, and the Dragon Egg being in Tristram's possession. Subsequently Tristram Whitestrake secured Arannese dominion over the stronghold, naming it Saigon, and declaring transit to the End dimension "necessarily free".
As royal
Tristram Whitestrake began his Arannese career as a prince of the realm, a self-proclaimed royal. The basis for this proclamation of regal status, was his initial aforementioned goals of being part of a greater state. Giving oneself a title pertaining to the land was meant to be a guarantee that regardless of future events, so long as Tristram kives he would keep a claim to his homeland.
A few days after this expedition, Tristram had founded the Church of the Divines, and subsequently wrote the Book of the Divines, which put him on the path of piety and writing, as arcanist and archivist.
Not long after the defeat of the Dragon and the establishment of Saigon, Tristram would find himself being one of the leaders of the newly formed Confederate States of Aranna, though that state was short lived and the rule of the land returned solely to the Principality.
