Ashenstrand
Ashenstrand is a state in the Holy Laiannic Empire, located in the far western-reaches of the empire. It hosts a chain of islands and a large territory inland. After its addition into the HLE, there has been no current ruler of Ashenstrand after former ruler Lady of Ashenstrand, Emma.
History
Ashenstrand was formed during it's declaration of independence from Yergola, being called the Free City of Ashenstrand at first but following unification with the Grand Papal States into the Holy Pyrannic Empire it was renamed to Ashenstrand.
After the dissolvement of the HPE, Ashenstrand remained as an independent nation.
On the 9th of December, 2025, HLE peacekeeping forces arrived at Ashenstrand where a swift takeover took place to replace their former Kommandant who fled the state with Ashenstrand's entire treasury. Left with no ruler, Ashenstrand was incorporated into the HLE.
