Moon and Star
Within the Church of the Divines there exists a strong assertion that Lyria, the visage of the Sun Divine, and one of the primary Divines within the Nine, second only to Aila, is posed as an antithesis to Elendarr, the Shadowweaver God of the Moon, and as a guide to Mankind. As an archivist and preacher of the Church of the Divines, this assertion is supported via observation of the inner-doings of the Arcanum, I shall explain in detail this nature of the moon deity.
The enigmatic relationship between the forces that rule this world becomes clear and explicable through simple observation of nature of the wild and the tame. By mere mortal logic any follower of the Divine, from any church or denomination, can correlate many natural phenomena, as well as the essence of certain living and non-living beings with the domains and interactions of the Divines themselves.
To begin this uncovering of divine nature, one must first understand, that within the dogma of the Church, there is a clear absence of the mundane. From the Arcanist point of view, all that exists that which we can interact with is strictly Arcane, thus it must come from within the same energies which have created the Arcanum. Every blade of grass, every pebble on a road, every gust of wind has connection to the Gods and the Primordial Forces.
Though whilst one would rightfully assume mere grass is clearly within the sole domain of the Grovewarden Varimir, not all of the Arcane sits neatly within the realm of one Aetherial, and that is where the nature of Lyria and of Elendarr begins to be apparent. The same Varimir interacts with the Moon and Star in a multitude of ways. Most foliage heavily relies on sunlight to grow, even if one may substitute it with any other form of light, for the exception of moonlight. Similarly, on full moons keen eyed mortals note an increase in living slime sightings, as well as certain change in spider behaviour. I shall let the faithful readers decide what this observance may mean, of course.
Even Testifikans, who fall within the domains of Varimir, Votarr, and Ausmir seem to prefer sunlight over moonlight, as evident by their frantic attempts to avoid any encounters with creatures of the night. Villager testifikans rush to their homes and close all doors upon sundown, whilst Wandering testifikans prefer hiding with magical potions. Only when the Sun returns from the horizon and morning comes, do they return to their work.
Interactions of the Arcane domains with us almortals are notable too. There are old observations of the now-bygone phantoms only appearing to those who have not slept and dreamt in a long time, displaying their connection with Elendarr, and notably they were undeniably hostile to all, who possess the Almortal Mindsoul. On the other hand, the Sun incinerated the creatures of the night each dawn, a clear mark that Lyria is there to guide and protect.
