Firgards
Firgards (/fɪrgɑrdz/), officially the Federation of Firgards (Fir coming from forest and Gards from stronghold), is a nation located in the south, east of the Sanean Ocean, nearby states including Senelk and the now annexed Achillean Commonwealth. The main religion practiced in the nation is the Church of Moonrise, however smaller groups of Pyrannists and Zodranists exist in the state. Firgards is an autocracy, with a Grand Admiral heading the government with the help of a Ministry.
Firgards borders Sanéa to the east (Strawgola), Nauticca and Danouvia-Scneimunt to the south (Strawgola), the Adrarian Ascendancy to the north (Strawgola), and the Sanéan Ocean to the west.
Etymology
The name Firgards originates from "Fir" meaning forest, and "Gards" meaning guardian/stronghold/fortress. As such, its citizens tend to refer to it as the environmental stronghold.

History - in Roleplay
Swastania
The officially recognized predecessor state of Firgards is the long defunct Kingdom of Swastania, which was a forgotten feudal realm in North-Eastern Cinder. Its final king was Aron the Formidable, who had been seemingly assassinated by a tribal mercenary group. The Kingdom collapsed shortly after this event. Not much is known about this nation's history.
Proclamation of Firgards
Aron the Formidable, who had resurfaced centuries later as a Cauldran, decided to try his hand once more at leading a nation and leading a people to prosperity. Aron started assembling a few contacts from Tintorini in order to realize his wish, notably Rupturoid (who was also in Tintorini at the time), a Thundran named Rizmin Lupin and, for a brief amount of time, Niiro Akira.
Post-foundation
A short while after Firgards' foundation, the nation of Strawgola was conditionally annexed into the Federation as an autonomous territory. Surprisingly, a joint denounciation of this annexation was soon issued by the Angelic Nation and the Holy Pyrannic Empire. In addition, citizens have been barred from accessing the Holy Pyrannic Empire or engaging in trade with any of its members. This was, in addition to an attempted Imperial intervention in a dispute concerning the defunct People's Republic of Beira and the tribal Baylehan, condemned by the Commonwealth of Sanéa.
Later, Firgards signed an agreement with Danouvia-Scneimunt, Sprusia, and Castlelania recognizing each state's sovereignty and expansion plans, as well as signed a full military alliance with the Adrarian Ascendancy. Later, a proposal was sent to Senelk to integrate into the Federation, however this offer was rejected. A non-aggression pact and trade agreement was signed by Firgards and the Republic of Ritannia on 27/05/2024, strengthening ties between both nations.
A Moonrisen church as well as a naval fleet are currently under construction.

With the Dark Creed's influence growing in Cinder (creation of the Cyric Sect in Tintorini in the North, and the recent turmoil in the Angelic Nation in the South), the Southern sect of the Church of Moonrise, led by High-Priest Aron, declared a crusade against the Creed originating from the Archduchy of Kothmire on 15/05/2024, with the Federation simultaeously declaring war on Kothmire. This campaign against the Creed was heavily supported by most nations, with a few - those being the Second Empire of Ashannar and the Lendisti Tribe - volunteering their forces for the Church.
11 days later, the Battle of Western Kothmire took place, ending in a massive victory for the Moonrisen coalition
On the 31st of May, the 2nd battle happened, with the Lendisti Tribe overwhelming the Kothmirian forces in the cathedral. Firgards and the Lendisti Tribe thus split the loot gained, however Sanéa, without consulting the Grand Admiral, had the Lendish annex Kothmire's land.
Geography
Firgards' mainland is a plains biome with mostly flat land and small hills. It is also rich in ravines.
