Xurde Ánxel Prieto Quevedo-Llanos d'Argüelles Gonzálviz Vallina, commonly known as just Xurde Prieto (sometimes misspelled as Xurdo Prieto), is the current vistor of Anneimd since the Annemi revolution and an Annemi scholar. He's played by recoime.
Biography
Early life
Xurde was born to a poor family of candle makers in Anneimd. He was born alognside his twin, Ánxelu Prieto, and had two other siblings older than him, his sister Iyana Prieto and his brother Xuasús Prieto. Xurde's father, Ceferino, died five years after his birth, of unknown causes, while in the Tsagaan Khanate selling candles. Xurde was convinced he was murdered by the Tsagaanians, considered uncivilized barbarians by the Annemi population.
Studies
At age 15, Xurde refused his mother's request to continue the family candle businesses and instead sought to pursue his passion as an artist, moving to the Khanate's capital of Yurtbatar and submitting more than 540 of his paintings to the Khanate government asking for scholarships, which were all refused. At age 18, he gave up on his dream and instead studied Anthropology in Anneimd City University, eventually graduating also in Mistense Studies four years later.
After finishing his studies, Xurde was unable to find a job and returned to his mother's house, only to find her deceased and his twin Pelayu disappeared. He then continued the family candle businesses with his siblings.
Pre-Revolution
Not long after finishing his studies, Xurde joined the Xunta Popular d'Anneimd (Anneimd People's Union, APU), a paramilitary organization that sought to achieve Annemi independence from the Khanate, supported Pan-Mistensism and fought against Paco Franco's government (assigned by the Khanate).He attented all of its meetings, eventually becoming General Secretary of the organization. It was during this time that Xurde's political beliefs around the Mistense nation and Pan-Mistensism were forged, the union held regular cultural events under Xurde's guidance, and also formed a Testifikan branch of the union, under the belief that Testifikans are equal to humans and can adopt Mistense culture and become "civilized".
Annemi Revolution
After significant bread price rises and the hardening of Paco Franco's dictatorship, with the execution of 5-year-old Aida la Fonte on the 15th of January 2025, the Annemi people began protesting in the streets against the government and asking for independence. The APU organized a coup d'état and, under the leadership of Xurde, stormed Annemi Castle and dethroned Paco's Franco government, having he himself fled the city earlier. The first Annemi People's Assembly was formed and Xurde was declared the president of said assembly and Vistor ("mayor" or "overseer") of Anneimd on the 6th of January. He was also declared the Dean of the Anneimd City University.
