Thundran troops initially crossed the border with the Lordship by taking Westmooreland and its mountain, shortly afterwards Thundran forces pushed into [[Crannog City]], the majority of the fighting took place within Crannog City. The battle for the city ended with the fall of Fort Crannog. After the battle Thundra announced the creation of the '''Republic of Crannoghold''', paving the way for the eventual '''integration of Crannoghold''' into Thundra.

			During the [[November 24 Thundran election]] incumbent Thundrarch [[Aleksy Zerzan]] had made several promises to the citizens of Thundra that he would lead and win an invasion of their eastern neighbor Crannoghold in order to establish Thundra as a real great power. Due to weak domestic opposition and the success of his first term in office, Zerzan won the election with a 7/0 landslide vote, using this newfound vote of confidence in his rulership Zerzan immediately instructed his cabinet and military forces to prepare for a military operation to occupy Crannoghold. Whilst Thundra's military was preparing for the invasion, the Thundrarch announced they would go on a global diplomatic mission to speak to as many great powers as possible. These talks were meant to get a better overview of international support for Crannoghold and its government.
