Lore

The pirate offshoot that did not retire along with the majority of the Nautilus, but continued their pillaging ways is known as Revenara. This name symbolizes their relentless spirit and unyielding nature, derived from the Latin word "revenire," meaning "to come back," and "ara," meaning "altar" or "sanctuary," signifying their return to a life of piracy and their dedication to their seafaring traditions.

When the Nautilus decided to depart for the Lakes of Mondego due to the famine, a faction within the group, led by the audacious pirate captain Arion Ravic, refused to abandon their marauding lifestyle. Believing that the seas held more opportunities than the land, they split from the main group and set sail in search of new territories to conquer and plunder. Arion Ravic was a charismatic and strategic leader, known for his sharp mind and ruthless tactics. Under his command, the Revenara quickly became a formidable force, feared by merchants and coastal towns alike. They established their stronghold on the isolated peninsula of Escarun, a rugged and defensible area with hidden coves perfect for ambushing unsuspecting ships.

Revenara developed its unique culture, blending elements of Nautilus heritage with new traditions formed through their continuous raids and encounters with various civilizations. They maintain a strict code of conduct, valuing loyalty, bravery, and cunning above all else. Their society is hierarchical, with the strongest and most cunning pirates rising to positions of power. However, the initial values of "stick it to the rich" have seemingly been lost.
