The Sanéan Rail Group is a group of railway companies within the Commonwealth of Sanéa, formed as a merger between the Messenian Metro and the Diryn Metro and Tram Company through the unification of the Principate of Messenia and the Duchy of Dirynum on the 6th Moon, 29th Dawn, 7th Rotation of the First Era (March 18th, 2024).
The group operates all existing railway lines within Sanéa within its subsidiary regional companies, as well as being the administrative body for cross-network connections on railway networks.
Background
See Messenian Metro.
Prior to the unification of the Principate of Messenia and the Duchy of Dirynum, the operations of the Messenian Metro commenced late within the 6th Rotation, with the opening of the Kaljista-Alaetia Line on the 5th Moon, 28th Dawn of the First Era.
With the unification between Messenia and Dirynum, the Diryn Metro and Tram Company, the nationalised railway company of the Duchy of Dirynum, was brought together with the Messenian Metro, and ultimately the Sanéan Rail Group was formed as a merger between both companies, with the MM and DMTC continuing their operations as subsidiaries under the Sanéan Rail Group banner.
The company is wholly owned by the Sanéan government.
Subsidiaries
Currently, the Sanéan Rail Group consists of two regional operating companies domestically, conducting operations within Sanéa itself, and two international companies with operations spanning most of Southern Cinder.
