The Aethereal Ecclesiarchy of Aneros (High Solyssian: π°π΄πΈπ΄ππΉππ π΄πΊπΊπ»π΄ππΉππ π΄πΉπ π°π½π΄πππ, translit. Aetherios Ecclesios eis Aneros) also known as the Ecclesiarchy, its High Solyssian equivalent - Ecclesios - or simply as Anerosei, is the state religion of the Anercratum of Astarios, a theocratic absolute monarchy from which Anerosei originated. The Ecclesiarchy is headed by the Anercrat, a High Solyssian word which most literally translated into English is "God's Ruler". The Anercrat of the Ecclesiarchy is, in tradition with his ancestors, always held by the eldest male (and therefore head) of House Cestari, as the title is hereditary and has been passed down from the founder of the Ecclesiarchy and Solestra, Konstantious Cestari all the way to his descendant Melevor Cestari, the current Anercrat.
The Ecclesiarchy teaches that the Anercrat descends from a long an ancient bloodline of previous divinely mandated rulers originating from the bloodline of Ior, the son of Aneros, the sole God of the Faith, and thus is given a divine mandate from the heavens. The hierarchy of the Ecclesiarchy is built upon the infallibility and supremacy of the Anercrat, who assigns a number of Ecclesiarchs, typically highly experienced Solestran clergymen, to help govern the Ecclesiarchys day-to-day functions. There are a number of positions below, including Primates, Patriarchs, Archprelates, Prelates, Archpriests, and Priests.
Anerosei is a monotheistic faith, through which one God created all things. First creating the Flame of Creation (and thereby fire and light), Aneros used the Flame to create all things including the Aeons - angelic figures, the Realms of Aether, Nether, Munda and Nihilum, humanity and it's derivatives, plants and all living life. Anerosei believe that within all things good that a "soul flame" burns - a small part of the Flame of Creation and Aneros himself. The Sun takes a central part of the religion's symbolism as it is seen as a symbol of Aneros' will, dominance and victory over all things and spreads His light throughout all of His domain of creation.
Etymology
The term Ecclesiarchy (High Solyssian: π΄πΊπΊπ»π΄ππΉππ, translit. Ecclesios) originates from Ancient Solyssian, and it is believed the Ecclesiarchy has existed in some form or another for hundreds of years. Ecclesios derives from the ancient "gathering" or "get-together" or "invoking", where it is believed the ancient Solyssians gathered around stone circles with flames in the middle to worship Aneros, and invoke his name and presence among them.
This has developed into the modern High Solyssian Ecclesios, and the Common Ecclesiarchy.
Beliefs
1
Golden Precepts
The Golden Precepts are the religious commandments of Aneros given to his son, Ior for his people Solyssia, and for all humanity when they should convert. The words were carved into bark from ancient tree near where Aneros spoke to Ior, and have been engraved in gold. The original Precepts remain in the care of the Ecclesiarchy within the Aneriad.
I. Obedience to Aneros
I. For thee and for thy brothers and sisters I hath created this world, and the heavens, if they obey Me through thee and thy teachings they will find eternal rest by my side in the Aether, for just as I created the heavens and the earth, I too created the Nether for the disobedient, evil and malicious.
Aneros directly tells us that He created this world, and all other Realms and things, and that if we are obedient to Him through the teachings of the Ecclesiarchy that we will find rest by his side in the Aether once we pass from the material world. He warns us that if we do not uphold His laws and teachings that we will be forever damned to the Nether for disobedience, evil, and for malice. This Precept establishes the fundamental principles of faith, obedience, and divine justice, laying the foundation for all other teachings within the Ecclesiarchy. It is both a promise of paradise and a warning of judgment, ensuring that all mortals understand the stakes of their choices in life.
II. False Idols
II. They are sinners who hast given themselves, their heart, body and soul, to another god for I am the One, and all others before Me are false idols.
Aneros makes clear that He alone is the one true God, and any who turn away from Him to worship another have surrendered themselves to falsehood and corruption. To follow another deity is not merely an act of ignorance but an act of betrayal - a wilful rejection of the Creator in favour of deception. These so-called "gods" are not divine but wicked spirits and demons, leading mortals astray to claim their souls. Aneros warns that idolatry is not just an offense against Him but a self-inflicted damnation, as those who kneel before false idols will find no salvation, only ruin. Just as He is the source of all truth, His faithful followers must stand against falsehood, rejecting false worship and purging the land of deception. Those who forsake Aneros will be cast out from His grace, both in life and after death, while those who remain steadfast will share in His eternal light.
III. Seven Mortal Sins
III. Foul are they who hath fallen in their heart to the seven mortal sins of lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride. In doing so they waste My gift of life on selfish endeavours, and they shalt find no rest in this world or the next.
Aneros condemns those that would use His greatest gift to us, life, in immoral and wasteful ways. To use life in such wasteful and selfish ways is not only to reject Aneros, but to reject self. Aneros warns that going down such paths will lead to a person's soul remaining within the Nether for the rest of time. The seven mortal sins are a corruption of the soul, leading one away from righteousness and into self-destruction. Aneros, in His divine wisdom, has granted life as a sacred gift, meant to be cherished and used in devotion, virtue, and service. Those who fall to lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride reject this sacred purpose, surrendering themselves to baseness and corruption. Such individuals squander the time given to them, forsaking the path of righteousness for fleeting indulgences. Aneros warns that such a life leads only to torment and despair, for they shall find no peace in this world nor salvation in the next, instead wandering eternally in the Nether, severed from His divine grace.
IV. Harming Others without Provocation
IV. All of Man are the work of My loving hand: from lowliest servant to highest king, woe on them who bring them harm without provocation.
This Precept lays the groundwork for self-defense and justice. To harm another unjustly is not merely an offense against man, but a direct offense against Aneros Himself, who crafted that life. This does not forbid all forms of violence, but rather unprovoked and unjust harm. Those who wage war righteously, uphold justice, or defend against wickedness do not violate this law. Instead, this precept condemns cruelty, murder, and oppression - acts driven by malice, greed, or personal gain, rather than divine justice or necessity. When judged in front of Aneros after dying all people are made equal, and so regardless of who commits misdeed, those who do will be judged accordingly.
V. False Witness
V. Damned be they who bear false witness, break their oath or honour and work to deceive. Let them know this, there is but one truth: all things are known to Me, and I shall judge thee on thy lies.
Aneros is all-knowing and all-seeing. When one swears to the truth, or an oath this is not simple meaningless words. These are not just social transgressions but violations of divine law. To deceive is to stand against the nature of Aneros, who is truth itself. Those who engage in such acts are declared damned, meaning they risk divine judgment and spiritual ruin. Aneros, being omniscient, sees all things, including the hidden deceit within menβs hearts. No falsehood, however small or concealed, escapes divine sight. This Precept serves as both a warning and a reminder - human judgment may be evaded, but divine justice is inescapable. The guilty will be weighed and judged, their lies revealed in full when they stand before Aneros.
VI. Theft
VI. Those who steal from others do their brothers and sisters a great harm. I see this with a heavy heart and shall consign those who would partake in it both directly and indirectly to the Flames.
This passage establishes that theft is not merely an act of taking property, but an act of betrayal and harm against one's fellow man. To steal is to disrupt the natural order of providence, taking what is not rightfully given and depriving another of what Aneros has allowed them to have. Whether it is wealth, food, land, or labor, the act of stealing breeds suffering, distrust, and disorder in society. This passage reveals the divine sorrow theft causes, showing that such acts are not just legal violations but personal betrayals against Aneros Himself. Theft is not simply about material loss - it represents greed, selfishness, and a lack of faith in divine providence. Those who steal act out of distrust in Anerosβ provision, seeking to take rather than receive. Furthermore, punishment is not only for those who steal directly but also for those who indirectly enable or profit from theft. This includes those who buy stolen goods, turn a blind eye to corruption, or exploit dishonest gains. Aneros warns that those who do these things will be consigned to the Flames, warning eternal damnation in the Nether.
VII. Ancestor Veneration
VII. Respect and revere thy ancestors, for they paved the path between thy reconciliation with Me.
This Precept establishes that ancestors are worthy of both respect and reverence, not simply as past generations but as guiding figures whose deeds shaped the present. To respect them means to uphold their teachings, traditions, and wisdom. To revere them means to acknowledge their divine role in the Faith and to honour their memory through prayers, rituals, and righteous living. In the Anerosei Faith, ancestors are not just personal forebears but also spiritual forerunners - the faithful who laid the foundations of worship, civilization, and moral order. Their sacrifices, struggles, and victories are what allow their descendants to walk the path of faith today. Was it not the ancient Solyssians whom Aneros so proudly acclaimed? Was it not the deeds of the Cestar which glorified Him and prevented the Mavros' dominion on Munda? To dishonour one's ancestors, then, is not merely a personal failing but a rejection of the very path that leads to salvation. By honouring them, believers continue their legacy of faith and ensure that future generations remain in harmony with the Divine.
VIII. Marriage is a Covenant
VIII. Marriage is a sacred covenant between Me and a young family, those who sullen their vows will be rejected from the gates of the Aether.
This phrase defines marriage as more than a social contract or personal arrangement - it is a covenant made before and with Aneros. A covenant is not merely a promise but a holy and unbreakable bond, upheld by divine will. Marriage is not just a bond between two individuals but the foundation of a new family, which is blessed and guided by Aneros. Through this covenant, Aneros becomes an ever-present figure in the household, ensuring the family walks in righteousness. Aneros warns against breaking the sacred trust of marriage. To "sullen" one's vows means to betray, corrupt, or disregard them. This can include infidelity, abandonment, dishonesty, or failing to uphold the duties of marriage. Since the marriage covenant is made with Aneros, to betray one's spouse is not merely a personal failure - it is a direct offense against the Divine.
IX. Foundations of the Ecclesiarchy
IX. All they who wish to join at My side on their final day must follow My line, and the line of my son Ior, and the teachings of My Ecclesiarchy, for they art the rock upon which I will build my Ecclesiarchy.
Here, Aneros establishes a sacred lineage - a divine order through which His truth is revealed. To "follow His line" means to remain faithful to His chosen rulers, prophets, and anointed clergy, as they are His representatives on Munda. Referring to Ior, signifies that Ior and his descendants serve as divine intermediaries, and have filled this role as Anercrats. The teachings, deeds, and legacy of Ior and of his descendants, the Cestari, form the core of the Ecclesiarchy, and it is through their guidance that the Ecclesiarchy remains aligned with Anerosβ will. To reject the lineage of Aneros and His son is to stray from the ordained path, cutting oneself off from divine grace. This reinforces the idea that faith is not a personal, subjective journey but a structured, hierarchical order established by the One Himself. The core of this Precept declares the Ecclesiarchy as the sole institution through which divine truth is revealed and upheld. It is not a human-made organization, but one founded by Aneros Himself, built upon the teachings of Ior and the righteous succession of faith. By referring to the Ecclesiarchy as "the rock," the Precept establishes it as the unshakable foundation of faith - eternal, unchanging, and divinely ordained. Just as a rock is firm, immovable, and enduring, so too must the Ecclesiarchy stand against heresy, corruption, and the forces of spiritual decay.
X. Baptism
X. In front of the gates of the Aether I shall reject all they who hath not been cleansed of their sin and joined under My Ecclesiarchy afore a man of the robes.
The final Precept establishes baptism as a sacred and non-negotiable rite of passage into the faith of Aneros. It is not merely a ritual, but a divine covenant, marking the individual as cleansed of sin and bound eternally to the Ecclesiarchy. Those who have not undergone this sanctification are denied entry into the Aether, cut off from Aneros' divine grace for eternity. The Anerosei baptismal rite, is a ceremony in which an initiate undergoes a sacred purification of body, soul, and spirit. This is not merely symbolic but a literal transformation, ensuring that the believer is reborn in faith and made worthy before the eyes of Aneros. Without this purification, the soul remains tainted by the imperfections of the mortal world, unable to withstand the divine presence. This Precept reinforces the necessity of baptism - without it, no matter how righteous one's deeds may be, salvation remains forever out of reach. Baptism is not an individual act - it must be performed under the authority of the Ecclesiarchy, witnessed and conducted by an ordained clergyman ("a man of the robes"). Faith is not a personal or private matter; it is a sacred allegiance to Aneros and His Ecclesiarchy. The initiate must not only cleanse themselves of sin but also publicly swear loyalty to Aneros, the Ecclesiarchy, and its sacred teachings. This act is both a spiritual rebirth and a declaration of absolute devotion.

Great Solas
Since time immemorial the symbol of the Faith has been the Sun. The ancient Solyssians believed that the Sun was Aneros' greatest symbol of victory over the forces of evil, the most identifiable symbol to a mortal that He could be, for He is beyond mere mortal comprehension. The Sun has time and time again been linked to miracles of Anerosei, most notably the Awakening of Aneros, when a solar eclipse occurred. The Sun is venerated as the bringer of life and light, banishing the darkness which shrouds the world each night and ushering in a new day. Differing from a standard Solas, the Great Solas is the sun which is in use by the Ecclesiarchy featuring 8 pointed peaks, and 8 jagged peaks. This depiction of the Solas is used both as a seal of the Ecclesiarchy, and as a flag, typically depicted with an Anerosei halo around it representing it being a sacred symbol.
Aneros
Over time there has been various depictions of Aneros, some depict him to in the form of a giant white Elk with golden antlers, an animal native to the ancient Solyssian homeland or as a white ram with similar golden features. These animalistic depictions have vanished as time has gone on. Since the Awakening of Aneros there have been two ways of depiction of the God among religious works which gain the backing and support of the Ecclesiarchy. The first is to depict Him as a humanoid of pure flame - as if the Sun were a man, walking, and talking. The second is to depict Him in a similar manner to the Cestar, as beliefs of the two becoming one have circulated in mysticism since the days of the Sacrifice, clad in the iconic golden and masked armour depicting a man with sun rays protruding from his helmet.

Subdivisions and Structure
The primus inter pares of these Ecclesiarchs is the Ecclesiarch of Solestra, who is the Chancellor of the Ecclesiarchy, and who serves as the Prelate of the Aneriad, the Faith's main church. Below the Ecclesiarchs is the position of Primate, who are two clergyman appointed by the Anercrat to oversee the affairs of the Ecclesiarchy in the two hemispheres of the world - east, and west. Below a Primate is a Patriarch, a clergyman who oversees a large territory and a number Prelacies known as a Patriarchy - typically a continent, sub-continent or large country. Below a Patriarch is the posts of Archprelate and Prelate, the positions most similar to that of a Bishop, overseeing numerous Anerchorias from a Cathedral known as a Prelacy, an Archprelate has the same authority as a regular Prelate, they are simply recognised as senior. The two most common positions within the Ecclesiarchy's hierarchy are those of Archpriest and Priest, both of which oversee a similar type of ministry, but of different forms, known as a Anerchoria. An Archpriest oversees a Chantry which is fixed, as in it is bound to an appointed geographical position like a Choria building. A Priest, on the other hand, is a wandering priest-missionary, who conducts Anerosei masses and rituals without a fixed Choria building and works to convert others. The distinction between the two is a recent one emerging from the reforms of Anercrat Melevor Cestari.
Anercrat
The Ecclesiarchy is led by the Anercrat (High Solyssian: π°π½π΄ππΊππ°ππΉπ, translit. Anercratir), a descendant of Aneros through the line of Ior, who additonally leads the Anercratum of Astarios. The Solyssian etymology of the title Anercratir, βGodβs rulerβ allows for further understanding of the role, as a protector and defender of the Ecclesiarchy, and as a sanctified ruler who is to mediate theological disputes. The most important people in ancient Solyssian history, such as Ior and the Cestar, have held equivalent titles to Anercrat. It is the duty of the Anercrat to resolve theological disputes, set the direction and guide the Ecclesiarchy, to protect the Faith and all it's followers, and to supremely govern in accordance with the Aethereal Sacrament and with Aneros' will.

Holy Mass

The Anerosei Holy Mass is the most sacred rite of worship within the Ecclesiarchy, a direct communion between the faithful and Aneros, the One True God. The Mass is performed either inside an Anerosei building (such as a Choria, Prelacy, and so on), or outside - all depending on what status the officiating clergyman is. Regardless of location, the centre of the mass is the Aneraris - the Anerosei Flame or directly translated from High Solyssian "God Flame". The Aneraris is a blue flame which sits in front of the altar, and between the officiant and the laypeople, which is believed by Anerosei to be the spiritual and psychical representation between the site of worship and Aneros Himself as an extension of Him. The Aneraris can only be lit in a spot and sanctified by an ordained clergyman.
- Opening - The ordained clergyman enters the site of worship facing towards the Aneraris and altar, and walks towards the flame, bowing before it. They then walk around and stand behind the altar, now facing towards the fire and the attendants, their gaze fixed upon it, for to address the Flame is to speak directly to Aneros Himself. The Mass begins with the solemn introduction of the Flame, where the congregation bows in reverence as sacred incense is burned and the Flame is praised and glorified.
- Reading - The officiant reads a selection from the Aethereal Sacrament, this is typically done in High Solyssian (the liturgical and sacred language) as it is read not to the congregation, but rather to the Flame. Following the reading, the officiant redirects their gaze to the congregation and explains the selection that they have just read, and why it is important, as well as the underlying principles of it.
- Prayers and Creed - This is followed by a period of prayer and supplication, where the congregation, led by the officiant calls upon Aneros for strength, wisdom, and purity of soul. In a moment of solemn unity, all present recite the Aetheran Creed, reaffirming their devotion to the One True God and their place within His Ecclesiarchy.
- Closing - The Mass concludes with the Call to Proselytize, a charge given to all Anerosei to spread the light of Aneros, bringing His truth to the lost and the wicked, and spreading His word and His Ecclesiarchy into the world.
The Holy Mass is more than just a religious ceremony - it is the cornerstone of spiritual renewal, a direct communion with Aneros, and a solemn reaffirmation of one's place within His divine order. Through prayer, scripture, and the presence of the Aneraris, the Mass serves to purify the soul, strengthen faith, and bind the faithful together as one unified body under Aneros. The Mass is a moment for believers to reflect on their actions, to measure them against the teachings of the Aethereal Sacrament, and to remind themselves of their moral duty to live righteously, avoid sin, and uphold the Golden Precepts and Anerosei Virtues. It serves as an act of repentance, and of spiritual purification - through attending, the faithful acknowledge their failings and misdeeds, seek guidance, and strive to realign themselves with the path of righteousness. It is the shared experience of the Mass and the unity of the faithful which bounds and reinforces the moral fabric of the Anerosei community, reminding all present that they are bound together under Aneros' divine rule, instilling a sense of collective duty to uphold the Faith and support one another, and this is driven home further through the Call to Proselytize. The Mass reminds the faithful that they are not only responsible for their own salvation, but also for the salvation of others and spreading the light of Aneros - this is done through the Call to Proselytize at the end of each service, charging all Anerosei to bring His truth to the lost and the wicked.
Spiritually, the Mass is viewed as a direct communion between the participants and with Aneros. The Aneraris, the God Flame, present at every Mass represents the manifestation of Aneros' divine presence. To pray before it is to speak directly to God, strengthening one's connection with Him, and He with you and your people. By the officiant's reading of the Aethereal Sacrament and the glorification of the Flame, the attendants show the proper respect and praise to give their Creator, the reading and the subsequent explanation allow the faithful to gain spiritual enlightenment, ensuring that their understanding of divine truth is continuously deepened and reaffirmed. Just as fire burns away impurities, the Holy Mass is a refining force for the spirit, reinforcing devotion and ensuring that the faithful remain pure in faith and intent before the Lord. The most significant factor of the Holy Mass is that it is the path to salvation, participation is an essential step on the journey to the Aether, as without faith, obedience, and the renewal of one's soul through the Mass, one risks being cast into the Nether, the realm of the lost and the wicked.
Rite of Baptism
The process of Anerosei baptism is unlike other faiths - it is a dramatic trial of faith and devotion, proving the initiate's readiness to enter the fold of Aneros. The rite consists of three stages:
- The Swearing of Allegiance β The initiate is asked to swear unwavering loyalty to Aneros and the Ecclesiarchy, binding their soul to the divine order. This is not a mere promise but a sacred oath, taken before clergy and the congregation.
- Drinking the Elixir β The initiate then drinks a holy elixir, said to grant them invulnerability to fire. This elixir represents divine protection, signifying that their faith will make them impervious to the flames of destruction and unshaken by trials.
- The Step into the Aneraris β With their oath sworn and their body sanctified, the initiate steps into the Aneraris, the sacred blue flame of Aneros found in every church. This fire is the manifestation of divine purity, and only those who are truly faithful may emerge unharmed. The act represents their final transformation, leaving behind their former self and emerging as a full member of the Ecclesiarchy.
The moral and spiritual significance of the Rite of Baptism is great, as it is the joining of a person into the sacred covenant of Aneros. It is essential for salvation, as without it the gates of the Aether remain closed to those who are without it, even if they live a moral and just life. The rite is a divine covenant, marking the initiate as a true believer in the faith of Aneros and His Ecclesiarchy. Salvation is not individual, it requires obedience and unity under the Ecclesiarchy and is preformed in a public ceremony in front of the Priest and the local or national community. The baptismal process is a trial of faith in that the person must engulf themselves quite literally into flames, ensuring that only the worthy are purified. The fire itself is both a test and a blessing. Those who are faithful will emerge, untouched and unburnt, while the unworthy and unbelievers will perish.
The Rite of Baptism enforces the idea that faith is not merely a belief but a commitment, one that requires public devotion, divine trial, and absolute submission to Aneros and His Ecclesiarchy. Those who reject or neglect this rite will find themselves cast away at the final judgment, forever barred from the light of the Aether

Aetheran Creed
The Aetheran Creed is the foundational declaration of faith within the Aethereal Ecclesiarchy, established during the First Aethereal Council in Solestra under the first Anercrat, Konstantious Cestari. It serves as the ultimate statement of belief, defining the core tenets of the Anerosei faith and reinforcing the divine authority of the Ecclesiarchy, and follows in a line of similar creeds proclaimed by the ancestors, as attested by the last ancient Solyssian, Konstantious himself.
The Creed affirms belief in Aneros, the one true God, who created all realms - Aether (the divine paradise), Munda (the mortal world), and the Nether (the realm of the damned). It acknowledges humanityβs fall from grace due to the Arch-Traitor Malacar Mavros, whose actions led the first men into bloodshed upon sacred ground, resulting in their banishment to the Nether. The Creed upholds the divine legitimacy of Ior and his descendants, anointed by Aneros as rightful rulers of Munda. These rulers, acting as His chosen agents, wrote the Aethereal Sacrament, spread the faith, and waged holy wars against heathens and pagans, securing salvation for the righteous and punishment for the wicked. Upon death, they ascended to the Aether, where they await the final day of judgment, when all sin shall be erased from the world. Furthermore, the Creed proclaims faith in the one, holy, universal, and Aethereal Ecclesiarchy, which serves as the sole institution of divine truth. It affirms the necessity of baptism for the cleansing of sin, the duty to spread the Aethereal Sacrament, and the unwavering hope in the ultimate fulfillment of Anerosβ divine promise. Concluding with the solemn affirmation, "Let it be so," the Creed binds all true believers in a sacred oath, reaffirming their devotion to Aneros and their duty to uphold His divine will.
I believe in one God, Aneros, creator of Aether, Munda and the Nether, and of all things visible and invisible,
Who created humanity in His image, and we have been led astray by the Arch-Traitor Malacar Mavros,
Who led the first men to spill blood on His sacred grounds,
And who were banished to the depths of the Nether for their crimes.
ο»Ώ
And in the line of Ior and his descendants, whose lineage Aneros anointed as His rulers on Munda,
Who for us men and for our salvation did act on the behalf of the One Himself, writing His Sacrament and did spread it,
And have waged righteous war on Heathens and Pagans, for His glory and their salvation,
They have ascended to the Aether and took their places by the side of Aneros.
From thence they shall come to judge on the final day and banish the sin of Man forever.
ο»Ώ
And in one holy, universal and Aethereal Ecclesiarchy,
We acknowledge one baptism for the cleansing of sins,
We look to the spreading of the Sacrament and the fulfilment of Aneros' promise.
Let it be so.
