Mistensia, officialy the Confederation of Mistensia (North Mistense: Federação da Mistensia, South Mistense: Federación de Mistensia) is a young federal state located in South-Central Cinder, born out of the union of the Tsaagan Khanate and Anneimd, the country intends to encompass the whole of the Mistense peoples into one state. The country doesn't have a government or law yet.

Mistensia is a federal country, each federal state has extensive rights regarding its own local governance, even being allowed to keep their traditional political systems. The federation is composed of the following federal subjects:

• Free City of Anneimd (capital: Anneimd, led by the Vistor)
• Federal District of Covilhã (capital: Covilhã, led by the federal president)
• Noyan of El Bierzu (capital: Gola, led by the Monteiru)
• State of Foz (capital: Cuideiru)
• Revolutionary Republic of Barbacena (capital: Pombal, former capital: Barbacena)

History

Mistensian unity was first achieved by the union between the Tsagaan Khanate (led by Khan Vita de Marirreguera) and Anneimd (led by Vistor Xurde Prieto) signed on 18th May 2025. Shortly after, on the 21st, Barbacena also joined the union and the Lex Mistensica was established as the federal law in all federal subjects.

Foehn was also in the process of joining it when the Barbacenan Revolution ousted the Martel government in Barbacena and began the Mistense Civil War.

Mistense Civil War

A group of revolutionists led by chairman Nickèl Drozdov and the Worker's Party of Barbacena, which was reformed into the Worker's Party of Mistensia, and its leader, Mario Zamora, led a revolution against Leanor Martel's government with support from Yalra. Shortly after Barbacena's entry into Mistensia, the revolutionists announced on the 23rd of May that the title of Alcaide would be abolished and movilized armed forces in the regions of Galaika and Beja where the revolutionaries were based and announced they would march on the Barbacenan palace to end Leanor's monarchy. In reponse, Leanor Martel issued the Protocol of Viçosa, reserved in case of a revolution in the Alcaidom, which activated a state of absolute martial law and movilized the loyal armed forces against the rebels.

Thundra, as member of the EUBIS pact, which Anneimd and Tsagaan, and by extension now Mistensia, were part of, declared that the pact would not intervene in the revolution, given that the treaty of the pact stated that "no nation is to involve itself in the other’s domestic belligerent affairs." Yalra was the first country to recognize the revolutionist government as the legitimate government of Barbacena shortly after.

Anneimd and Tsagaan declared war on the rebels the next day, in defence of Barbacena and the annemi leader Xurde Prieto was appointed as Supreme Cruzado of Mistensia by majority vote of the Cortes. He proposed a deal to the rebels to end the war, but this was ignored.

On the 26th, and under the advance of the rebels into Barbacenan cities, Leanor activated the Protocol of Elvas, preparing to escape the country along with her supporters, which she finally did. As the revolutionists advanced and the horrors of their occupation spread, masses of refugees began to flee Barbacena towards the Khanate and Anneimd, many fleeing further to the newly independent Valverde from there. After Leanor's escape, the revolutionists took the Barbacenan capital and declared the Revolutionary Republic of Barbacena. They were still at war with the Khanate and Anneimd, but since they were entrenched in the border, no actual battles took place between these countries.

On the 5th of June, the Khanate signed the Treaty of Sintei with Thundra, declaring the independence of the Khanate with the support and guarantee of Thundra through EUBIS, and leaving the war. On the 1st of July, after a month-long "cold war" where no battles actually took place, Anneimd's vistor and sole ruler since its independence from the Khanate, Xurde Prieto died, upon his death the councilors couldn't decide who would be his successor and conflicts erupted in between the two factions, the Sovereignists, politically conservative wanting for Anneimd to leave Mistensia and the Mistensists formed by both conservative (Xurdist) and progressive (revolutionist) factions that wished for Mistensia to remain uniteed. The Annemi civil war didn't last for long, as due to this the Khanate and Barbacena signed an agreement to unite once again, this time with the intention of invading Anneimd and defeating the Sovereignists. Seeing this sudden change of allegiance, understood as treason, from the Khanate, the Xurdists joined the Sovereignist side, but with the Khanate threating invasion, they decided to escape the city, but first they sistematically drowned all revolutionists in the city. Most of the population of the once-crowded Anneimd died or escaped.

After the escape of the Annemi exiles to Valverde and later on Sprúsia, where they'd found New Anneimd, Anneimd was reintegrated into Mistensia, now lead by the Barbacenan revolutionaries, but to this day it has recieved no updates on its state.
